Seven research groups will be getting grants to study the impact of marijuana use in Colorado. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has awarded more than two-million dollars in grant funding for the studies. Researchers will study driving impairment, the duration of marijuana in breast milk and what marijuana products are more commonly tied to emergency room visits.

The projects are intended to fill gaps in marijuana research that were not possible when recreational marijuana use was illegal.
